PLANT A KISS

As a solution to a quarter life crisis, Lex opens a plant shop in the heart of Seattle, hoping to grow something more than flowers. While they seem to be running from their past, their very first customer that day is looking to confront the future head on.

Liam Coleman | Playwright

Liam Coleman (they/them) is a queer, low-vision, Deaf artist who grew up in Utah. Now, they enjoy working as a creative producer at Morpheyes Studio, a Deaf production company at NTID in Rochester, NY. 2022 marks Liam’s first year as an assistant director, ASL coach, and now— playwright.

Kai Winchester is a PNW native who has been involved in theater for 30 years, on and off the stage: actor, assistant stage manager, writer, sign coach, DASL - and now director. He is currently using his Masters degree in Deaf Education to rebuild the Deaf Youth Drama program with Seattle Children's Theater.

Kellie Martin | Stage Manager

Kellie Martin is a badass, queer, nonbinary, deaf artist. Kellie worked with art, culture, and theatre organizations for over 8 years and loves to collaborate with others for creative projects. They graduated from SCAD in Creative Business Leadership specializing in art and culture nonprofit organizations.

They currently work with Deaf Spotlight as the Art & Design Program Director. Deaf Spotlight supports deaf artists by helping them raise their professional level and transition to the art professional world.

Anna Bracilano | as Violet

Anna is a native Seattle born and raised just right outside of the city. She got her acting start with Deaf Youth Drama Program (DYDP) here in Seattle as a child. Some of Anna's acting experiences include acting in West Side Story, The Three Musketeers and a lead role in Scapina with DYDP, backstage crew and acting roles with NTID Performing Arts in Rochester, NY, supporting DeafSpotlight with various theatre and film festival programs, and a role in Bunnicula with Gallaudet University Performing Arts. The most recent theatre experience she had was directing and coaching the Utah Deaf theatre team with Utah Schools for the Deaf, DeafWest and Sunshine 2.0 for the annual National Deaf High School Theatre Festival in 2021.

Anna just settled back into the Seattle area this year and is looking forward to growing her Seattle Deaf theatre roots again!

Phelan Conheady is a newcomer to the Seattle area, only having lived in Seattle for a year. They currently work at ADWAS as a Trainer and Technical Assistant. Outside of work, you can find them working on art and creating content on social media and. Phelan has also appeared on Sesame Street as an ASL performer.
