MOHAI Behind the Seams: Look for the Label

Venue name: MOHAI

Venue address: 860 terry Ave N, Seattle, WA 98109 United States

Date: 5/7/2022

Time: 11:00 AM

While the outward appearance of clothing can dazzle the eye, it is the interior labels that often illuminate a deeper story. From couture houses, to tailors, to unions and independent makers, labels give tantalizing clues about the people that make fashion possible.

Join Curator of Collections, Clara Berg, for an intimate in-person, one-hour session to view a range of garments from the MOHAI collection that have delightful and surprising maker labels.

Generous program support provided by ArtsFund AND Guendolen Carkeek Plestcheeff Fund for the Decorative and Design Arts.

Come early or stay after to view all the historic garments on display, and stop by the MOHAI Mercantile where MOHAI Members save 15%!

ASL Interpretation and CART is available during the program through generous support of the Institute for Museum and Library Services. For additional accessibility support, please contact programs@mohai.org.
