VIRTUAL Benefit 2021

Saturday, September 18, 2021

5 PM PST

Deaf Spotlight is 10 years old this year and we are celebrating BIG! We have exciting announcements to share with you all.

The registration for our virtual 2021 Benefit is now closed.

Join us on Saturday, September 18, 2021 to support new and authentic work by Deaf, DeafBlind, DeafDisabled and Hard of Hearing artists across the United States.

Deaf Spotlight has commissioned a special, limited-edition work of art: “Self-Expression,” by Tirzah Farley (tizarts). Limited-edition prints of this gorgeous artwork will be sent out to the first 100 people to register for the benefit.

ID: a thumbnail of a circular headshot of Tirzah Farley inside a ring of white circles on the right side. On the left, connecting to the circle is a purple brushstroke with white text overlay. Text: “Tirzah Farley, Digital Illustration. ‘Self-Expression’.” Behind the circle photo is a similar spray cloud from the first flyer with oranges and pink peeking around the edges. Tirzah is a multiracial woman with short curly dark hair, and wearing glasses and a dark long sleeved shirt. She poses with an arm bent, hand touching the back of her head.

Artist Bio: I am a self-taught illustrator with many talents. I focus on doing authentic illustrations through American Sign Language mainly. The most recent collaboration projects I did are the children’s book “If You Could Hear My Hands” and the storybook app “Evon Discovers Black Pride.”

Please follow their work: website & Instagram.
